Scotoleon Niger Scotoleon Niger

If I got the species of my local ant lion correct it is by luck and some educational guessing. There are 100 species found north of Mexico alone. The species Scotoleon niger is reported from Cochise County and that did it for me.  The funnel shaped traps of the ant lion larvae are very easily found and are fun to share with children and like minded adults.
